       USS Lexington (CV-16), known as "The Blue Ghost", is an Essex-class aircraft carrier built during World War II for the United States Navy. She was commissioned in February 1943, and decommissioned in 1991, remaining active longer than any other Essex-class ship. The USS Lexington is the oldest remaining aircraft carrier in the world and today a museum ship in Corpus Christi, Texas. |
