Aircraft pictures of Bede BD-5J Microjet

The BD-5J is the smallest jet plane in the world with a lengt of 12.73 ft. (3,88 m) and a wingspan of 21.00 ft. (6,40 m). The aircraft is powered by a Microturbo TRS-18 Turbojet, the maximum speed is 298 mph (480 km/h).

Note:

On 1 May 2013 at 4:00 PM local time this Bede BD-5J (N53EJ) crashed into a hillside near a residential building between the villages of Mils and Baumkirchen (Innsbruck-Land), Austria. At the time of the accident, the BD-5 microjet was returning from an appearance in Tirol. The german pilot Guido Gehrmann, a Lufthansa pilot and former world hang gliding champion, has died in the plane crash.
